2023 Schedule of Events

The following is a schedule of events for Homecoming Weekend. Events are subject to change and additional events may be added.  Admission to all events, except the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet, is free. However, registration is required. 

Friday, October 13
4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Homecoming HubCrawl, Administration building and main campus
Join our three colleges for an unforgettable Homecoming HubCrawl!

We're taking you on an adventure through each college's dynamic programs, scattered across campus. Your mission? Collect stamps on your exclusive 'passport' from every hub you visit!

Visit all hubs and collect each stamp to receive a special gift as a token of our appreciation for your unwavering school spirit.

Hosted by the College of Sciences and Humanities, the College of Health and Education, and the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership & Technology (BILT).

5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Honoring Donald Lavanty, Reinsch Library Auditorium
Donald Lavanty will receive the Distinguished Faculty Halo award honoring his 45 years of service to the Marymount community. Please join us for a reception and award ceremony.

6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet, The Westin Arlington Gateway

Food for Thought community garden, St. Andrews Church garden, 4000 Lorcom Ln, Arlington, VA
Food For Thought is a Marymount organization focused on raising awareness about food insecurity in the Arlington area.  We have an on-campus "Plot Against Hunger" garden and donate the produce grown to our campus community as well as to the greater Arlington community.

MU collaborates with the St. Andrew's Church with their "Plot Against Hunger" garden, whose proceeds are also donated to local food pantries.

9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Sensory Bean Bag making, Lee Center Atrium
Join us in making bean bags for Choice. Respect.independence (CRi) residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities live their lives with purpose, actively engaged in communities of their choosing. This hands-on, family-friendly service project will connect you with each other while contributing to the wider Marymount community
10:00 a.m. Men's Legends Lacrosse game, Converse Family Field
Please bring all of your own equipment. Please be sure to complete the waiver.
11:30 a.m. Men's Lacrosse Alumni game, Converse Family Field
All Men’s Lacrosse Alumni are welcome to come play! Please bring all of your own equipment. Alumni will compete against the current MU team. Please be sure to complete the waiver.
11:00 – 2:00 p.m. BBQ, Rowley Patio
Come celebrate Homecoming!
We’re bringing the food, drinks, games, and music.
Bring your memories of Marymount and connect with old friends and faculty. It’s time to celebrate! All are welcome!
